St George's Day: British values
Monday 23rd April
The school will celebrate St George's day this year with a focus on British values.
Pupils are invited to wear an outfit which reflects British culture or red, white or blue.
As part of the celebration of British values in the week starting on Monday 23rd April, the pupils will watch a performance of a classic British novel, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", by C.S. Lewis.
The children will then be exploring key British values, such as:
democracy, the rules of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs, as well as what does it mean to be British.
On Friday 20th April, in the Reception classes assembly they reminded us that all, whatever we look like or what are talents are make up our community, and all of us are part of God's family.
