Welcome to the St Francis Class page. St Francis' feast day is the 4th October.

Home Learning 

Reception have been working super hard and completing their online learning tasks. I am very impressed with all the work and pictures that have been sent in.

Writing our favourite part of the story, retelling the story using different voices or by putting on a show, drawing or making our own porridge with our favourite toppings and writing a letter to the Three Bears.

Summer Term 1 - Week 2

Home Learning- Measuring Lengths

 Creating magic wands and going in search of things that are longer and shorter than their wand. Using objects to measure themselves and family members, as well as ordering toys from shortest to longest.

Home Learning - The Three Little Pigs

Writing our favourite part of the story, designing new houses, building houses for the Three Little Pigs using different materials, then testing its strength by using a hairdryer to see if the material is strong enough. Writing a letter from the Big Bad Wolf and looking at the differences between the pigs in the story and those in real life.

On Thursday 23rd April, it was St George's day we celebrated this at home by designing a dragon with special powers.

Home Learning - Repeating Patterns

At home we have been looking at repeating patterns and making our own patterns using toys, food and natural objects from our walks.

Reception watched the video of the story Owl Babies. They created their very own lost Mummy Owl posters as well as new and imaginative endings for the story.
