School Meals
September 2023 – Universal Free School Meal Provision
We can now confirm that all primary children in London will be provided with a free school meal for school year 23/24, for this year only. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan wants to do what he can to help and has put this fund in place as an emergency cost of living support measure. This means that from September 23 to July 2024 all children will be entitled to this – previously it has been from Reception to Year 2. Parents should contact the school office if you wish your child to take up this offer.
We are extremely lucky to have a chef on site who freshly prepares all our meals daily. See below our seasonal menus.
If your child has a packed lunch, it should be brought to school in a clearly labelled lunch box/bag. We recommend that the lunch you provide is healthy and contains no NUTS, FIZZY DRINKS or SWEETS.
We prefer that once you have made a choice whether to opt for a school meal or a packed lunch, that your child stay on this for at least half a term. If you wish to change please notify the school office before the school breaks for the half or end of term. It is very important that you let us know about any allergies or special dietary requirements your child must follow.
Milk and Fruit
Children under 5 receive free milk. This is also available to the rest of the school but is payable at the beginning of each term through Cool Milk – please contact the school office for more details.
All children in KS1 are given free fruit every day. All children may bring in a snack for morning break but this must comprise of a piece of fruit
