Lighthouse Team News – September 2023

Our new Lighthouse team led in their first whole school Mass at our Parish Church on Tuesday 19th September and received a special blessing by Father Richard.

The Lighthouse team attended the Beginning of Year Mass at St George’s Cathedral on Wednesday 20th September with other schools in the Southwark Diocese. It was a real celebration of the commitment both pupils and staff make in their contribution to the Catholic Life and Mission of their school. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Paul Hendricks.

Bishop Paul reminded us that we are called to be saints through the smallest sacrificial action and encouraged to walk in the footsteps of Christ. We were invited to bring a candle which was used in the procession and blessed by the Bishop to be a reminder of Christ’s light in our school.
